Our story began a long way back. All the way back to the 1930’s, to the Brazos River Reclamation District and the Texas Highway Department. Seventy years of engineering and surveying history, from slide rules to computers, pen and ink to CAD, transit to GPS. That heritage is the source of our knowledge, the origin of our standards. It is what makes us who we are today, and forms the basis of our vision for the future.

In 1981, when OJD Engineering was started, there were only three of us, O.V., the father, and Jamie and Dickie, the sons. We have grown in numbers, but we haven’t changed in spirit. We’re still a family. We work hard on every job, learn something from every challenge, and have fun in the process. We think that spirit makes a difference, a big difference, to our clients.
